Say Goodbye To Peter B. Collins

I got the news this evening that the Peter B. Collins show heard live on KGOE from 3 to 6pm weekdays, has just one more week on the air.

Peter has had a hard time getting larger radio stations to pick up the show and he is self syndicated and pays his own bills. He told me tonight that Friday the 20th. of March is his last show.

Peter B. Collins will make the announcement tomorrow on his show.

I have considered Mr. Collins a good friend in the business and an excelent talk show host.

His style, grace and wisdom will be missed on the airwaves.

He hasn't ruled out doing a weekend show sometime in the future.

Peter B Collins gives us another month.

Peter B. Collins, heard weekdays from 3 to 6pm on KGOE 1480 am in Eureka Ca. weekdays, has told us that he has secured financing to keep his show on the air at least through December 14th. He had given us a preliminary end date of November 14th but that now has been pushed back. Although his show is doing great in Eureka and we have plenty of local advertisers for it, Peter B. distributes his show to radio stations for free. He has to pay his producer, engineer and satellite time out of his own pocket. This money comes from regional or national advertiser that buy ads through him that he places on the show before we get it.
