5.4 Magnitude Earthquake Hits L.A. Area

At about 11:42 this morning, a 5.4 magnitude quake hit near the Chino Hills. No injuries were reported as of yet. Ground runway radar is out at LAX due possibly to the quake. A water main broke according to CNN, not sure where though.
There were several aftershocks reported.

In downtown Santa Ana (just a few miles from the epicenter), my car bounced like a lowrider in a Cheech and Chong movie while I watched hundreds of people run out of county and federal government buildings. It was controlled chaos. Glasses were thrown from shelves and at least one Anaheim liquor store is closed due to the severity of damage.

I interviewed my former mother in-law in Yorba Linda for a short segment about the quake. She said a picture fell off the fireplace mantle and broke. Some glasses in the china cabinet fell but did not break. She said the beer in the fridge was just fine. You could say she knows me by that last statement.
